A delicious base sauce, perfect for a creamy Bacon Carbonara.

- 250g Tagliatelle
- 2 Tbls sunflower oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 250g punnet mushrooms, sliced
- 250g bacon, chopped
- 250ml fresh cream
- 1/2 cup frozen peas(optional)
Preparation Instructions
Stovetop: 35 mins
- Cook pasta as per pack instructions.
- In a pan lightly brown chopped onion, mushrooms and bacon in oil.
- Add the contents of pouch, cream and peas.
- Simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste and stir into cooked pasta.
Tasty Tip: For a delicious bake, pour sauce over sliced potatoes and sprinkle with 50g Parmesan cheese. Bake at 180°C.
