Spaghetti Bolognaise
A dinner classic and long-standing crowd-pleaser. This quick and easy version of our Spaghetti Bolognaise is flavoured with Royco Bolognaise and an assortment of traditional Italian herbs.
Ingredients
- 5 kg lean beef Mince
- Royco Pasta Sauce for Bolognaise
- 1 liter cooking oil
- 1 bunch celery
- 1 kg medium onions
- 2 kg chopped tomatoes
- 500 g tomato paste
- 1 bunch italian parsley, chopped finely
- 200 grams dried oregano
- 60 ml (4 tbsp) crushed garlic (optional)
- 1 liter Vegetable Stock(water)
- Salt and Pepper to Season
- 6 packets spaghetti pasta
Method
- Heat the cooking oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté (lightly fry) until lightly golden brown, for about 3 to 5 minutes. Add the garlic and fry another minute.
- Add the beef mince; fry until fully cooked, add the oregano and tomato paste and mix until well combined.
- Add the blended tinned tomatoes. Season with the salt and pepper. Reduce the heat to low, and cook for at least 10 minutes. Mix 500 grams Royco Bolognaise with 1 Liter water and add to mince, further cook on low heat stirring continuously to prevent burning at the bottom.
- In the meantime, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and serve topped with the sauce or as desired, garnished with fresh parsley.
Chefs Tip – Serve Bolognaise sauce with other types of pasta and achieve the same delicious recipe.
